About Antemille

Antemille Inc. is a family-owned business. Like many others, our start in the baby business began with the birth of our first child:

Like many newborns, our daughter was swaddled for her first six weeks when she slept. As she became more active, we switched to putting a light blanket on her. She frequently kicked the blanket off, becoming cold and waking up in the middle of the night. A friend from the Netherlands suggested we try a baby sleeping bag - a wearable blanket, that the baby cannot kick off. We had never heard of one but according to our friend, baby sleeping bags had been used in Europe for over 50 years.

Setting out to purchase a baby sleeping bag, we were disappointed by the poor quality and cutesy designs of the products available in the market. Why can't a practical product be beautiful and of good quality as well? We didn't see any reason why not and set about to design the kind of baby sleeping bag we would like to have for our daughter. Our goal was to produce a baby sleeping bag of superior quality and design. We went to the drawing board and three exciting months later we had produced the first inika baby sleeping bag.

The feedback we received about our baby sleeping bags has been extremely gratifying. Many of our customers also started asking for matching crib sheets, and toddler bedding for older babies in the same designs - we've listened, and today we have a large range of coordinated baby and toddler bedding.
